Search Warrant Enables BPD Officers to Confiscate Illegal Drugs, Guns and Multiple Rounds of Ammunition in Dorchester

In ongoing efforts to protect and serve the citizens of Boston while targeting those who engage in the sale and trafficking of illegal drugs, officers assigned to the Citywide Neighborhood Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant in the area of 96 Geneva Ave in Dorchester earlier today, Thursday, September 13, 2018, that led to the recovery of 2 guns, multiple rounds of ammunition and various amounts of both Class A (Heroin) and Class B Drugs (Crack Cocaine).

Additionally, officers arrested Thomas Mongo, 49, of Dorchester and charged him the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2 Counts), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of High Capacity Feeding Device, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class A Drug (Heroin) and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Drug (Crack Cocaine).

The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court tomorrow, Friday, September 14, 2018.
