A man is dead after police found him suffering from a stab wound in North Aurora on Wednesday night.

Police discovered the man after responding to 9801 East Colfax Ave. around 7:59 p.m., according to an Aurora Police Department news release. Officers attempted life-saving measures, and the man was immediately transported to a hospital before succumbing to his injuries.

While canvassing the area, police came upon a man who is considered a person of interest, the release stated. He is currently being questioned about his involvement. The man has not been arrested and police have not released his identity.

The Adams County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim after his family has been notified.
