On Monday, May 6, 2019, at approximately 4:54 PM, Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle property damage crash eastbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 146, east of Bliss.

Nathanael T. Watson, 39, of Jerome, was driving an Oshkosh Motor cement truck eastbound on Interstate 84. Watson lost control and the truck overturned blocking both lanes of travel.

Watson was wearing a seatbelt. The eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately three hours and fifteen minutes.

The Idaho State Police were assisted by the Gooding County Sheriff's Office, Wendell QRU, Bliss QRU, Gooding County Ambulance and Idaho Transportation Department.

The eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 are open.

**UPDATE - EB I84 CLOSED**

Due to the crash in the area and the extensive amount of time the road has been blocked, the Idaho Transportation Department has officially closed the eastbound lanes from milepost 141, near Bliss, to milepost 157, in Wendell. The westbound lanes are still open. ITD has implemented a detour off of exit 141, east on US26 to Gooding, and then south on SH46 to Wendell, where motorists will be allowed back on to Interstate 84.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating a crash eastbound Interstate 84 around milepost 146, west of Wendell. Both lanes are currently blocked at this time. More information will be released when it becomes available.
