The Colorado Department of Transportation is planning overnight lane closures for a portion of Interstate 25 over the weekend as part of the express lane project.

Starting at 9 p.m. Friday, the left lanes of northbound and southbound I-25 will be closed at 136th Avenue, and the 136th Avenue on-ramp will be completely closed, according to a CDOT news release. The lanes and exit will reopen at 5:30 a.m. Monday.

Drivers wanting to go southbound on I-25 can detour at Huron Street or Washington Street to the 120th Avenue ramp.

Crews will be doing deck repairs on the bridge over Big Dry Creek in Thornton and paving on the interstate, the news release said.
