Denver Mayor Michael Hancock issued an order Monday afternoon requiring residents to stay at home in response to the spread of the coronavirus, starting at 5 p.m. today.

After announcing that liquor stores and recreational marijuana dispensaries would close, Hancock quickly changed course Monday evening as both will be exempt from the mandated citywide closure of non-essential businesses.

Two more people have died in Colorado, bringing the state’s total to nine. There were 129 new confirmed cases on Tuesday, raising the total to 720 overall.
