At about 7:30 PM on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a call for a person down at an indoor crime scene in the area of 1990 Columbus Avenue in Roxbury. On arrival, officers located an adult female victim suffering from apparent traumatic injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene.
Investigators from the Boston Police Homicide Unit have since arrested and charged Alan Washington, 71, of Roxbury with Murder. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
