At about 6:50 PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Washington Street and Erie Street in Dorchester resulting in an on-site firearm arrest of Jeremey Wallace, 33, of Boston.
While on patrol in the area of Washington Street and Glenarm Street, officers observed a motor vehicle with excessively tinted windows. Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens and safely made the traffic stop. Officers spoke with the driver, Jeremy Wallace and asked him for his driver’s license and registration. Wallace reached into the glove compartment with his left hand while keeping the right side of his body pinned tightly against the center console.
Due to the suspect's behavior, officers believed the suspect may be in possession of an illegal weapon.
Officers asked Wallace to step out of the vehicle in order to perform a pat frisk and recovered a loaded Kel-Tec PF-9, 9mm firearm with six rounds in the magazine from Wallace’s coat pocket.
Jeremy Wallace was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
