About 8:17am on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a Person with a Gun in the area of 1603 Washington Street, Boston. Officers were advised that the suspect was wearing a pink shirt, gray sweatpants and a gray bandana over his face. Prior to this incident, District 4 officers had responded to an Armed Robbery at 627 Tremont Street at 7:56am, and a Hold Up Alarm at 781 Tremont Street at 7:23am.
Upon arrival, officers observed a male, fitting the suspect description, walking away from 1603 Washington Street. Officers stopped the male, later identified as Brandon Goss, 22 of Rhode Island, in order to conduct a threshold inquiry. The officers observed that the suspect was wearing several layers of clothing underneath a dark jacket, and that he had an unknown amount of loose currency in his jacket pockets.
After a positive identification, Brandon Goss was placed under arrest and charged with Attempted Armed Robbery. Further investigation led to the suspect being charged with an additional count of Armed Robbery in relation to the Armed Robbery call at 627 Tremont St, Boston. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
