At about 10:30 AM on Thursday May 13, 2021, officers assigned to the Boston Police Fugitive Unit, in coordination with members of the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), arrested Marquise Scott, 34, of Dorchester, at an undisclosed location in Malden, MA.

At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on an outstanding warrant sought out of Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2nd and Subsequent), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Assault and Battery by Means of a Firearm, Attempted Assault and Battery by Means of a Firearm, Wanton Destruction of Property and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Building.

The warrant was granted to BPD detectives following an investigation into a non-fatal shooting that occurred at about 5:52 PM on Saturday November 21, 2020, in the area of 394 Quincy Street in Dorchester. During the incident, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a ShotSpotter activation in the area where they recovered ballistic evidence and later located an adult male victim after he presented himself at a local area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The suspect is expected to face arraignment on the above charges in Roxbury District Court.
