At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on an outstanding warrant sought out of Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2nd and Subsequent), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Assault and Battery by Means of a Firearm, Attempted Assault and Battery by Means of a Firearm, Wanton Destruction of Property and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Building.
The warrant was granted to BPD detectives following an investigation into a non-fatal shooting that occurred at about 5:52 PM on Saturday November 21, 2020, in the area of 394 Quincy Street in Dorchester. During the incident, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a ShotSpotter activation in the area where they recovered ballistic evidence and later located an adult male victim after he presented himself at a local area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The suspect is expected to face arraignment on the above charges in Roxbury District Court.
