At about 8:38 AM on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to 774 Albany Street (Boston Public Health Commission) for a gun that was found. Upon arrival, witnesses stated that the suspect had already fled on foot leaving the gun behind on the ground.

After further investigation by detectives and reviewing several surveillance cameras, the suspect could be seen holding what appeared to be a firearm.  Miguel Negron, 42 who is homeless, was located by police in the area of 112 Southampton Street, Roxbury.

Negron was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. 

Negron is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
