At about 3:18 AM on Saturday, August 14, 2021, officers assigned to District B3 (Dorchester/Mattapan) responded to a call for a person shot at 37 Almont Street in Mattapan. On arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
