At about 5:00 PM on Saturday August 28, 2021, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an onsite firearm arrest following an investigation near Aspen Street and Montrose Street in Roxbury. Officers were working in the area when they observed the suspect, later identified a 17-year-old male from Mattapan, place what appeared to be a firearm inside his pocket as he walked with two other individuals. Officers were able to stop the group at which time they performed a pat frisk leading to the safe recovery of a loaded 9mm Model 1 SCCY CPX-2 from the juvenile suspect. The other two individuals were identified and released from the scene.
Officers later determined that the suspect was wanted on two outstanding warrants sought out of Suffolk County Juvenile Court on combined charges of Delinquent to Wit: Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
The suspect will appear in Boston Juvenile Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm stemming from today’s arrest.
