BPD Community Alert: The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect wanted in connection to an attempted armed robbery earlier today in Roxbury.

At about 12:10 PM on Wednesday September 8, 2021, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for an armed robbery at the Stop & Shop grocery store located at 1620 Tremont Street. On arrival, officers met with an adult female victim who stated that the suspect shown in the image above passed a not at the customer service desk demanding cash and indicating that he was armed with a firearm. When the victim refused to comply, the suspect fled the scene on foot without further incident. No firearm was displayed or observed during the attempted robbery.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.
