At about 5:54 PM on September 29, 2021, Officers from District E-18 conducted a traffic stop in the area of 882 River Street and made an on-site arrest for firearm and drug offenses of Jose Manuel Pinales, 22, of Dedham.
Officers were on patrol on Wood Avenue in Hyde Park when they observed a vehicle with dark tinted windows. A CJIS query of the vehicle revealed that the registration for the vehicle was revoked.
Officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle. Pinales was removed from the vehicle so that it could be towed. Officers searched the vehicle before it was removed from the scene and located a firearm and marijuana. Pinales was placed in custody without incident.
A Bond Arms Texas Defender was recovered from the vehicle loaded with two (2) .410 shotgun shells. Officers additionally recovered 438 grams of marijuana.
Pinales is expected to be charged with Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Obstructed Window, Registration Sticker Missing, No Inspection Sticker, Failure to Yield at an intersection, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, Possession without FID card, Possession of Ammunition without FID, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D.
Jose Pinales is expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.
