At about 5:30 AM on Thursday November 25, 2021, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Marshley Dauphin, 29, of Randolph on firearm and motor vehicle related charges after responding to a call for a person passed out behind the wheel near the intersection of Wellington Hill Street and Deering Road in Mattapan. On arrival, officers observed the suspect inside the vehicle, asleep, with the engine running and the brake lights illuminated. Officers conducted an investigation on scene, leading to the arrest of the suspect and the subsequent recovery of a .40 caliber FN FNX-40 handgun from inside the vehicle.

The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.
